Medical Practice Billing (MPB) was established in 2003 by Eric Lester, MBA, CPC to assist the private practicing physicians of New Mexico with medical practice management, billing, contracting, collections, accounts receivable management, credentialing, bookkeeping and any other issues that may challenge the business side of medicine. As a native New Mexican, Mr. Lester understands the unique landscape of the healthcare industry and can provide his expertise to any practice.
Mr. Lester graduated with his Masters of Business Administration with a dual specialization in Healthcare Administration and Finance from the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University in 2015. He also obtained his Bachelors of Business Administration in Financial Management Robert O. Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico.
Mr. Lester has a proven track record of building organizational cultures that are collaborative, knowledge-based, and consistent. He’s steadfastly committed to cultivating an environment of efficiency at MPB, where talented individuals can thrive and contribute. Eric understands that a successful medical billing company requires expertise and communication from top to bottom, along with a constant readiness to adapt to changes in the healthcare industry.
Mr. Lester is a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders, American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives, Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Medical Group Management Association, Healthcare Finance Management Association and National Society of Hispanic MBA's.
Mr. Lester has an extensive background in Marketing, Finance, Information Technology, and Healthcare.

MPB has certified and experienced billing/collections employees who have expert knowledge of CPT-4 Coding, ICD-10 coding, modifiers, multiple procedures on the same day of service and submitting electronic claims.
